Nintendo DS Lite Black

The Nintendo DS Lite Black is a greatly improved version of the already impressive and highly successful DS. Improvements to the DS Lite Black include a brighter screen, which makes the gaming experience far more enjoyable, the DS Lite Black is also much slimmer and lighter - the design is far more pleasing to the eye and to touch, in fact it now weighs 60g less than the original DS.

Although the DS Lite Black is now much smaller and lighter, you will still be able to play all your DS and Gameboy games on it, making the library of games the DS Lite Black is able to play, enormous.

One of the strongest selling points of the Nintendo DS was its advanced touch screen technology; this has been retained on the DS Lite Black and allows you to control your games and software with the included stylus, or even your finger. The DS Lite Black comes with the famous dual screen, voice recognition and Wi-Fi capabilities.

The great thing about the Nintendo DS Lite Black is that it is appeals to everyone, regardless of age, gender or gaming ability. It’s for these reasons that the Nintendo DS Lite Black is one of the biggest selling handheld gaming consoles ever. The library of DS Lite Black games really emphasizes the fact Nintendo are aiming this console over a huge age range. There are games in which the whole family can play and interact with, which gets audiences of players involved with gaming who would never have probably been interested in gaming before.

Features Include:

• Dual screens now have four levels of brightness, which helps in different lighting conditions, it can also be used to extend the battery time.
• The microphone has now been positioned in the centre of the unit, and the LED lights on the unit are clearly visible even if the unit is open or closed,
• The newly designed stylus is 1cm longer and 1mm thicker, which makes it easier to hold and use. It can also be stored away neatly into the side storage slot.
• The Start and Select buttons have been repositioned to make them much easier to access.
• A removable cover has been included to fit into the Gameboy Advance cartridge slot, which keeps the slot clear from dust and debris when not in use.

Best handheld console ever!

I previously owned the original Nintendo DS which I thought was fantastic, however after seeing the new model I decided to go ahead and purchase it. I was not disappointed at all, Nintendo have really done an excellent job with the styling, the console is now much slimmer and lighter, but the best feature is the new brighter screen, which I would say is 3 times as bright as the old DS. If you are thinking about upgrading your old DS or if you have never owned a handheld gaming console, I would thoroughly recommend buying the DS Lite, it won’t disappoint. ~ David Wright

Fun for the whole family.

I originally bought a Nintendo DS Lite Black for my son’s birthday and he absolutely loved it, however after having a quick go myself I found that I couldn’t stop playing on it. I have bought one for myself as my son was getting increasingly annoyed about never being able to get a go. They are just that addictive and the games are incredible, especially with the use of the touch screen. I plan to buy my wife one for Christmas who has also recently taken a liking to the DS. They really are great fun, especially when you link them together. I recommend this super little gaming console to everyone and they are great fun for all the family. ~ R Solvey
